The girls have left…

Yep, they have left on their way to camp. They are going to be gone for 4 days. I am a nervous wreck. I know they are going to have fun and everything but, I keep thinking of everything that can go wrong. If you could say a few prayers for all the kids and the staff and the camp staff that would be great.

I don’t know what to do. Half my family is gone. I think this going away camp thing is for the birds. How do people do it? Miss Taylor the principal was funny. She said oh yeah, you are getting rid of two. I told her I had not decided if they were going yet. She told me, girl ya got problems. She meant it in a nice way.

It’s just I love my kids and like to be around them. I would rather their friends come to our house and visit instead of the other way around. It doesn’t bother me. I like to know who they are associating with. I still have Mikayla and Ashley here but, well, there won’t be any screaming, or fighting, or mommy get her she is getting on my nerves. She won’t stay out of my room. blah blah blah. You know the joys of motherhood. You know the stuff that makes you want to scream calgon take me away but, what you can’t live without. Yep, that is me.

Well, better get off of here and find something to do. Tootles

  1. Awwww, hugs, Bobbie. I know how you feel. I feel lost when one of my kids are gone for more than one night. Most of my kids’ friends all hang out over here, and I like it that way too.

Are you feeling better (with your cold/sickness?) I sure hope so.

I hope your girls have fun at camp. What kind of camp are they going to?

Ugh… My cough is still bad. It is getting a little better as in I can talk once in a while without coughing. lol

The girls went to Glen Helen. They get to learn all about nature and are doing 2 hour hikes and a lot of neat things. It is curriculum based, and they will have lessons on how, social studies, math, science all ties in. I know they are going to have fun. I just get scared because of the fact I can’t call and check on them or hear their voices. Thanks for asking.

  2. Well that sounds like fun and definitely educational. So, this is a camp thru their school? That’s neat. I know there is NO WAY our school would provide something like that! What a neat experience for your girls.

Hang in there. They’ll be home fighting soon enough and all will be right with your world again. LOL

Not really thru the school. It is offered to all surrounding schools in I think 2 counties. They had to earn the trip. They sold all kinds of stuff. Pointsettias, oranges, grapefruit, peeler cards, and did a few bake sales. The cost was 126.00 per kid and who ever didn’t sell enough to go they got money from the general fund which was the bake sales and the donations and then after that parents had to pay no more than 40.00 per kid. This is the first year doing it. So, if it goes well hopefully they start a new tradition.

And I know Saturday I am going to be wishing they were back at camp. lol

  3. I’m sure they are going to have a good time. I know how you feel, sending them off. That’s the part of parenting that is sometimes tough. Thanks for checking on me, I’ve been real sick.

  4. They will be back today so enjoy your quiet morning and enjoy your evening listening to all there stories.

  5. I’m guessing that the girls came home and your family is complete once again. Let us know how they did and you as well.
