Watermelon Fight 08

Stacy’s family and ours got together yesterday for our annual watermelon/water fight cookout. Everyone kept predicting rain. And while it did rain in the morning, by the time of the cookout it wasn’t. It was a little cooler than usual but, it made for great conditions for the watermelon throwing at each other. lol

Here are some pics to enjoy:

Here is the man making the crown for the watermelon princess.

Shaun getting ready to attack me I had no idea. He got me good. Bad Bad Shaun. lol

Here is Stacy in her fashionable new designer watermelon cap.

Megan got really mad at Timmy because he broke the Watermelon crown. She wanted to be the princess. He just didn’t want to give up his title.

Timmy ended up eating watermelon for that one!

The princess before he went all Diva and broke his crown.

Stacy made monkey bread and I think it turned everyone into monkeys. lol

More Monkeys

It took Mike and Shaun to get her up there but, she was determined she was going to be a monkey too. lol

My poor little pouty princess. No one knows why she pouts. She can go from extremely happy to extremely pouty in 0.237 seconds.

We gave her the crown and she was still pouty. She likes pink and it was green. Oh my my! You just can’t please her sometimes.

And to end this off Megan and Mikayla. Aren’t they just the cutest. Oh yeah, and we are still looking for Mikayla’s shirt. So, if you happen to find a yellow tank top. Please return it to us. We would really like it back. lol

There would have been more pictures. Like that wasn’t enough huh?? Note to myself for next year. Do not wear a white shirt. lol

Hope you all enjoyed these pics. We had the greatest time!!

  1. It looks like a lot of fun, messy though. Did you eat any of the watermelon or just wear it? Its so good to see a family just having a great time.

We ate first. We have that rule. Eat a piece first and then start throwing. It was so much fun! It relieves a lot of stress also.

  2. What a fun day! I have wonderful memories from a water fight in the rain at my Grandpa’s when I was about 10! We had a great time spashing in the puddles and throwing water at one another. Even my mom played with us! Grandpa said we were too dirty to come into his house so we had to hose off & wash our feet in a bucket before we could come in to take a shower. Thanks for reminding me of that time.

  3. Sounds like a great way to spend an afternoon!!

Too bad for poor sportmanship, poutiness and lost shirts 😆
