Well, they had an awesome time

The girls got back earlier than expected. I got there at 1:00 they pulled in about 5 minutes later. I was so happy to see them. They just kept talking and talking and telling me everything. They had a great time. They came back tired and really happy. They did a lot of hikes. 3 a day except for Tues and Friday. Thursday night they did a night hike. Stacey said her and her best friend who is Kaitlin where walking and hit a patch of ice and they both went down. They got to bunk with whoever they wanted to. Well, boys were with boys and girls with girls of course. They learned about rocks and nature and they seen owls and a bald eagle and a baby owl that only weighed like 5. something oz. They stayed up late talking and got up early. They ate as much ice cream and cookies that they wanted to. Stacey, Harley, and two other girls baked the cookies. Stacey led a hike. They took some whacky pictures for their nature group for their book they brought home that showed the schedule and the trails they hiked and how long they were. And those trails were not short. Every hike was a 2 hour hike.

I got bunches of hugs and kisses and Mikayla was so happy to see them. So was Ashley but, of course she isn’t going to show it. lol. I showed Stacey on Youtube the American Idol stuff she missed. She was happy she didn’t think she really missed anything. Then we sat and watched videos of stuff she wouldn’t leave my side. she fell asleep on me about 8:30. Harley had went to bed earlier like about 7. They were totally exhausted by this point. I am going to let them get on here later probably tomorrow and blog about what they did because they were there and they were talking so fast I only caught some of it.

So, that was how it went. No one fell off a cliff or got lost. That was my two major fears. lol.

The girls have left…

Yep, they have left on their way to camp. They are going to be gone for 4 days. I am a nervous wreck. I know they are going to have fun and everything but, I keep thinking of everything that can go wrong. If you could say a few prayers for all the kids and the staff and the camp staff that would be great.

I don’t know what to do. Half my family is gone. I think this going away camp thing is for the birds. How do people do it? Miss Taylor the principal was funny. She said oh yeah, you are getting rid of two. I told her I had not decided if they were going yet. She told me, girl ya got problems. She meant it in a nice way.

It’s just I love my kids and like to be around them. I would rather their friends come to our house and visit instead of the other way around. It doesn’t bother me. I like to know who they are associating with. I still have Mikayla and Ashley here but, well, there won’t be any screaming, or fighting, or mommy get her she is getting on my nerves. She won’t stay out of my room. blah blah blah. You know the joys of motherhood. You know the stuff that makes you want to scream calgon take me away but, what you can’t live without. Yep, that is me.

Well, better get off of here and find something to do. Tootles

Happenings around here….

Well, I have been sick it seems forever. This cough really has gotten me down. I have only been sleeping a total of about 4 hours each night sometimes less. I really don’t want to go to the doctor, but, I am probably going to. There was only school this week 2 days. We love it. Just don’t love all the snow and ice outside. It would be alright if it was just snow, it is the ice that well, it ruins the snow.

My girls went to their first dance last week. It was a 3R’s Valentine Dance. It was to support the 5th graders going to camp and they made a bundle. Over 400.00. If you don’t know what the 3r’s are it means Respect, Responsibility, and Restraint. This is a motto at our school. So, both of my girls are paid for. Thanks to the amazing selling ability of Stacy throughout the year. lol. We just need to get them boots. They leave Tues. They are going to Glen Helen which if I can find a link to it I will link it. They are coming back Friday. They will be doing all kinds of things that are cool. I am not sure how much Stacey will like it. She is excited to be going but, well, she is a girly girl and I really don’t think that once she gets out there she is going to like the fact that she can’t reapply her lipgloss every few secs. So pray for them that they are safe and pray for me that I don’t hyperventilate while they are gone. I am really uneasy about them going. I don’t know why. Maybe it is because this is their first real trip away with people other than family. But, Stacey and Harley are going together so, I find some comfort in that.

Laundry is going, dishes are done, everyone is still asleep, even the dog. So, I am enjoying the quiet around here. Probably not for long though.

Today we have plans of decluttering our house. I suggested it to hubby because we aquire alot of useless things. Somehow someway, and I am feeling claustrophobic at the moment. I want to see about 70% of it gone. We are going to be going room to room and just getting rid of stuff. Freecycle is going to love me today. Although I really don’t see anyone coming out in this mess but, you never know. The garbage man might love us next Friday too. He’ll get his money’s worth I tell ya.

I also need to make a couch cover. I have just the right material in mind. I hope hubby goes for it. and I need to make 2 curtains for the side windows. Mikayla has torn up the blinds and I am afraid she might get caught in them. I have been keeping them up and I really don’t like people seeing into my house in the evening hours. So, that is on the agenda too. I hope I at least get half of the stuff done that I want to this weekend. High priority is the decluttering and the curtains. The couch cover can wait. I really don’t want it to but, it can.

Well, that is what is happening today. Or, this weekend rather. Hope everyone has a great weekend and remember to lean on the Lord. Be blessed.
